HOW TO FEED TO SMALLER TORTOISES?
Mazuri doesn't hold it's form too well when moistened. I have found that if it is immersed in cold water for about 45 seconds, immediately removed and allowed to sit for a few minutes it will soften up enough to feed to smaller tortoises and still hold its shape. If it is soaked too long it turns to mush.
HOW MUCH TORTOISE DIET DO I NEED?
If you use the tortoise chow as 100% of your tortoise's diet you need about .25 ounce of tortoise diet for every pound your tortoise weighs. This can very quite a bit depending on the species, how warm or cool the tortoise is kept, and the time of year. You will need to experiment with each tortoise to know for sure. (Note: I actually only recommend about 50% tortoise diet and 50% greens, grass, etc.)
