The Ivory Tortoises are a dark eyed form of albino African Spurred Tortoise called a Tyrosine Positive albino. It was first produced by Richard Fife in 2000. They are identical in size and care as other African Spurred Tortoises and because they have dark pigment in their eyes they can safely be put outside in the sun without worry of damaging their eyes. This is a fantastically beautiful tortoise.

Ivory Tortoise Hets
-Do you want to save some money?
-Are you willing to raise up heterozygous tortoises to produce your own "Ivory Tortoises"?
-Then the "Ivory Tortoise Hets" are right for you!
The Ivory Tortoise Hets are heterozygous for the Ivory Tortoise form of dark eyed albino African Spurred Tortoise. They look completely normal but being heterozygous they carry one recessive gene for the Ivory Tortoise. If two heterozygous tortoises are bred together then 25% of their babies will be dark eyed albinos (out of a clutch of 20 hatchlings 5 would be Ivory Tortoises).
3-inch Tortoise $400 each
3-inch Tortoise 2 for $600
